Goodbye Louisa

I had a great surprise on my last day at school, thank you to all the children for the fantastic send off! I have really enjoyed teaching all of you, and I hope you have enjoyed English classes with me. I will miss you a lot, but I will remember you!

Vaig tenir una gran sorpresa el meu últim dia a l'escola; gràcies a tots per aquest fantàstic acomiadament! He gaudit molt ensenyant-vos a tots vosaltres i espero que hagiu gaudit també a les meves classes d'anglès. Us trobaré a faltar, però sempre us recordaré.

P5 ENGLISH DAY - 29 Maig

The 29th of May is the day of the ENGLISH DAY. It will be like any other trip, so children have to bring breakfast and lunch. Just get to school we'll change the shirt to the English Day shirt. Then we'll take the bus to Pallaresa school in Santa Coloma de Gramenet. There we'll meet our friends from 1st course of Primary and we'll make a lot of games with them, dance songs that we shared, sing the English Day anthem, etc. We'll have lunch in the park that is right across from Pallaresa school and we will be back here at 16:30 as a normal day. 

We look forward to the day arrives!

El dia 29 de Maig és el dia de l' ENGLISH DAY. Serà com qualsevol altra excursió, així que cal portar esmorzar i dinar. Només arribar a l'escola ens canviarem la samarreta i ens posarem la samarreta de l'English Day. Seguidament agafarem l'autocar cap a l'escola Pallaresa de Santa Coloma de Gramenet. Allà coneixerem els nostres amics i amigues de 1r de Primària i farem un munt de jocs amb ells, ballarem les cançons que ens vam intercanviar, cantarem l'himne de l'English Day, etc. Dinarem al parc que hi ha just davant de l'escola Pallaresa i tornarem per ser aquí a les 16,30h com cada dia. 

Estem impacients perquè arribi el dia!

FRANKENSTEIN

We were lucky enough to have a special visit from the IPA Theatre Company, who did a tremendous performance of 'Frankenstein' for us in our school. It was very entertaining and they even involved some members of the audience, as you can see in the photos below! The children of grades 5 and 6 were encouraged to speak English by answering questions on stage, which they did very well despite the pressure! They were also able to sing along to the songs. Well done to everyone! We are glad you enjoyed it.
Hem tingut molta sort de gaudir d'un espectacle de IPA Theatre, que va representar Frankenstein. L'obra va ser molt entretinguda i molts nens van participar en ella com podeu veure en las fotos. Els alumnes de 5è i 6è han practicat anglès a través de les preguntes que els feien a l'escenari i cantant les cançons. Enhorabona a tothom i encantats de que us hagi agradat.

T-shirts ENGLISH DAY

Last week P5 group colored a paper with the winner Logo and the last day before Ester Holidays we had a big surprise... All the T-shirts for the English Day arrived at school!

La setmana passava el grup de P5 va pintar un paper amb el logo guanyador i l'últim dia abans de les vacances de Setmana Santa vam tenir una gran sorpresa... Totes les samarretes per "l'English Day" van arribar a l'escola!

Easter in P4 and P5

Last week Patch and Louisa showed us how they celebrate the Easter Holidays in England. The Easter rabbit hides eggs and children have to find them! And they like to paint boiled eggs! We've played with the Easter Rabbit, we've sung a song and finally we've colored an Easter Egg!

La setmana passada en Patch i la Louisa ens van mostrar com celebren les festes de Setmana Santa a Anglaterra. El conill de Pasqua amaga els ous i els nens els han de trobar! I també els agrada pintar ous bollits! Hem jugat amb el conill de Pasqua, hem cantat una cançó i, finalment, hem acolorit un ou de Pasqua!

LOGO samarreta English Day!

This last months we have been developing the LOGO of the t-shirt we are going to wear in the English Day. Each student has drawn a LOGO, then all the students of our school have voted for their two favorites and finally the two winners of each school, participating in the same project, have taken part in the last choice.  

The winning LOGO is the one with a bus and with the name of all the participating schools around it. We have to thank to Richmond Editorial that takes care of the t-shirts cost.

Aquests darrers mesos hem estat elaborant el LOGO de la samarreta que portarem el dia de l'English Day. Cada alumne ha fet un LOGO, després a l'escola totohom ha votat els seus dos LOGOS preferits i finalment els dos guanyadors de cada escola, participants del mateix projecte, han format part en l'ultima tria.

El LOGO guanador és el de lautobús amb el nom de totes les escoles participants al voltant. Hem d'agrair a l'Editorial Richmond que es fa càrreg del cost de les samarretes. 

ENGLISH DAY: 2n Intercanvi amb l'escola Pallaresa

This week we've exchanged songs with the 1st grup from Pallaresa school. They've sent us a video of the song "Five Little Monkeys" and we've sent them another of the song "Hokey Pokey." Now we have to learn how to sing and dance the song for the "English Day", that we will sing both songs all together.

Aquesta setmana hem intercanviat cançons amb el grup de 1r de l'escola Pallaresa. Ells ens han enviat un vídeo de la cançó "Five Little Monkeys" i nosatres els hem enviat la cançó "Hokey Pokey". Ara haurem d'aprendre com ballar i cantar la cançó pel dia del "English Day", que cantarem tots junts les dues cançons.
